Connecting the Youth Movement - Building Youth Networks
June 30, 2007 at 1:00 pm at 3:00 pm
This is a workshop at the U.S. Social Forum - Please come through if you're here!!!
We all know that our strength lies in numbers, not dollars. But how do we effectively work together to make our people power work for us?
Join us at this Youth Movement Building workshop to explore ways to build our movement and make more effective change. We’ll look at alliances that actually work, the obstacles that prevent us from doing more collaborative work, and tools to facilitate our movement building, including Future 5000.
In particular, and by popular demand, we'll delve into the creation of regional youth networks. Our goal is to support the evolution of the youth social justice movement by strengthening our networks, maximizing our resources and leveraging community power.
The workshop is presented by the good folks from Future5000.com (a project of the Generational Alliance), and the Generational Alliance. We are excited to facilitate this workshop as both students and teachers, sharing our lessons with humility and love, and bringing your experiences to bear. JOIN US!
