Organizer, EBASE Workplace Immigrant & Civil Rights Program EBASE seeks an Organizer for its Workplace Immigrant & Civil Rights Program, which is challenging the exploitation of low-wage workers by supporting the national movement to reform immigration, civil rights and labor law; supporting the rights of immigrant and African-American workers to organize; and researching, documenting, and educating a broad array of constituents about the connections between workers rights, immigrant rights and civil rights. The Organizer will be responsible for supporting the Northern California Immigrant Workers Freedom Ride Coalition; training and developing members of a committee of immigrant and African American workers as leaders; coordinating local participation in local and national campaigns; and educating key constituencies on workplace immigrant and civil rights issues.
